John A. Hixson
Biography

.........................................

Experience:

For the last 25 years I have practiced civil law. My goal is to provide compassionate and excellent representation in all facets of your case—at a fair price.

I practiced as a corporate counsel for five years in the construction and real estate fields from 1982 through 1987. I've practiced law as a sole proprietor in Arlington, Texas since 1988. My practice is limited to civil law matters, including bankruptcy, real estate and wills and probate matters. My experience includes extensive trial and appellate work.

.........................................

Education:

Bachelors of Arts (Cum Laude), Trinity University, 1979.
Juris Doctorate, Southern Methodist University, School of Law, 1982.
Extensive continuing education in bankruptcy law to keep up with the rapid changes in bankruptcy law.

.........................................

Licenses:

Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas since November 1982. Admitted to practice in the United States District Court, Northern District of Texas since April, 1983. Member of the State Bar of Texas.

.........................................

Personal:

In the last 21 years my focus has been on raising my three children, practicing law and serving as a Bible study leader (BSF) and Sunday School teacher for 3 year olds. My experience has taught me God’s love for everyone through the study of the Bible and especially through teaching preschool children who are a great witness to God’s unconditional love.

I was born in Topeka Kansas in 1956. I grew up in Kansas riding horses and spent summers working construction for my family's electrical contracting business. I moved to Arlington, Texas in June, 1974. I am a long time Rangers fan (my assistant says I am a fanatic). I graduated from Lamar High School in 1975 and then served in the Army Reserve/National Guard from 1980 - 1988. I spent the summer of 1980 at Fort Benning Georgia (11B Infantry) Commissioned as an Armor Officer in 1982 (UTA - ROTC).

.........................................

Family:

I have been married 21 years to Becky Hixson and have three children who are currently High School and College age. My oldest son David is in the Army Reserve as a combat medic and I am very proud of his decision to serve our country.

My goal is to give you the best possible guidance at the best possible price—when you need it the most!

God Bless You and Keep You.
